  1. I like the way the ProV1x sounds coming off the club face when I hit correctly. The most important to me tho would be is that it appears I get less spin off the driver keeping the ball in the fairway more often. This is assuming a temperature of approx. 70 deg’s. I do switch balls when the temps get much Lower here in New York and only a couple of muddy courses are still open for the season.

Feel, but spin is sure a close second.

We all play the Pro V1(x) because it is the best ball for “us”.
  4. Feel is very important in my short game as I get older (74) to keep my handicap around 10. Feeling the ball gives me confidence I can get up and down around the green from 60 yards in as well as confidence in putting.

    Hey Team Titleist,

A few of us were chatting the other day about what we love most about the ball we play and because we all could go on and on about the different reasons why we love our golf ball, we decided to make everyone choose between just three performance options - flight, feel or spin.

Of course I would say all of the above but when pressed, I went with feel. Maybe it's a throwback to my junior days playing the Titleist Balata's I would either "borrow" from my Dad or find in the marshes at Kelley Greens, but I've always leaned toward softer feeling golf balls. And when the other performance elements are that good, feel has been the determining factor in my game.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to pose this question to all of you... and while it would be a perfectly good response, I did leave off the "All of the Above" option on purpose.

Don't forget to tell us why you selected your preference in the comments below!

Aloha from Maui, Feel is very important because it set up a chain of action. On the course, you don't have device to mesure the spin or distance. You make your decision with your "intellectual brain" and play with your "athletic brain". Warmest Aloha ! wwww.mauischoolofgolf.com
  7. The feeling of the ball compressing is one of the best feelings in golf. You know you have hit the ball on the sweet spot of your club.
  8. Feel in my hands followed by sound. Learned the game with the old balata ball and forged muscle back Wilson staff

Tour Blade irons. Always try to replicate that sensation with my irons.

I love that Titleist click and soft feeling of my irons!

Without a doubt, it's feel. Nothing better than finding a random Titleist balata ball and giving it a whack! I've always loved and preferred the feel of the Pro V1, but had to play the X for the lower spin and ball flight. With the new Pro V1, I was able to switch to it with the lower flight and spin matched with the incredible feel.

    Great topic of conversation!

I default to "FLIGHT". I just think it 'feels' better to 'spin' a wedge from the fairway than smack a 6 iron from the ruff. (Pro V1x)

Absolutely feel is what I would want. Otherwise who would play golf if you were hitting rocks around. Its that resonating feeling you get when you hit a shot that is pure and that sensuous feeling that just rocks your core being is what I love! Going with feel....all the way every day. Same thing I look for in a wood or an iron. Getting the most feel out of the ball and the club I can find. However when the trackman gives you data that conflicts and the data says the club and ball that don't feel so good are going 10 plus yards more you get a bit conflicted. Agg.
  14. Feel for sure, it all starts from there
