Feel. Very similar to you, i grew up on balata balls and have never liked the feel of a hard golf ball. I seem to go at the hard ones with too much hit and not enough swing.

Feel. But It’s nice not to have to sacrifice the other characteristics. The all in one balls.

    Hey Team Titleist,

A few of us were chatting the other day about what we love most about the ball we play and because we all could go on and on about the different reasons why we love our golf ball, we decided to make everyone choose between just three performance options - flight, feel or spin.

Of course I would say all of the above but when pressed, I went with feel. Maybe it's a throwback to my junior days playing the Titleist Balata's I would either "borrow" from my Dad or find in the marshes at Kelley Greens, but I've always leaned toward softer feeling golf balls. And when the other performance elements are that good, feel has been the determining factor in my game.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to pose this question to all of you... and while it would be a perfectly good response, I did leave off the "All of the Above" option on purpose.

Absolutely feel....and it is feel with the putter!! The ball has to feel "just right" when putting and the Pro V1 gives it!!

Love to feel what the ball is doing. Full wedges in and short shots give me the feedback necessary to score.

I play by feel, being self taught. I grew up with Balata Balls, and could actually hit them further than the new equipment today, although age probably has something to do with that as well.
I actually hit the ProV1 further than the ProV1x - and love the ability to put some sauce on a wedge shot, which helps my ego and impresses my friends when I remember to fly it past the hole...and not suck it back off the front.
I still play forged blades and have an old bullseye model putter that drops a 40+ foot putt at least once every round, so feedback to me is critical and the feel of a ProV1 is essential for my game.
    I also have a 915 D4 Driver, along with a 915 F 13.5 degree 3, and a 816H2 19 degree Hybrid, all X-Flex - I can absolutely say that nothing flies further than a ProV1 when I hit them flush.

I love my ProV1X. Spin and feel are pretty close for me bur, in the end, spin is how to score. Whether it’s woods, irons or especially pitch and chip shots I reduce my score when I spin the ball.

Feel is pivotal. It builds a level of trust for me in a way. Especially when the shot requires creativity or touch.
  8. It’s the feel that counts...chipping and putting

I choose flight, because of the fact that I know my ProV1 will stop on the green even when I hit a lower shot. Maybe I've become accustomed to the soft feel and take it for granted that, that's how a ProV1 feels.

In my opinion it’s actually the combination of distance and feel. Tough to beat that in any other ball. It’s the mix of both of those attributes that differentiates the Titleist top ball experience.
  11. SPIN.......My father got me started with Titleist balata balls and taught me how to put spin on them pretty easily. I’ve been playing ProV 1 ever since I can remember, no other ball spins like they do......for ME that is.... feel is important but spin around the greens for me is key if I want to score low.

I choose spin, as I like to work the ball ( at least try to) . I wanted to chose feel. I won't lie though. I do miss the old days of the ball making a clicking sound of the putter, but still had great a spin and stopping power on the greens . Some golf balls for me are way too soft. Great poll !
  13. Flight, I am much more consistent using Pro V1x because I always know what the shape is going to be. My drives are straighter and more penetrating , my irons are always more on line to my target and my shots onto the green hold much better for me. If I could only putt!
  14. For me the Pro Vs have the perfect amount of spin. It is a splendid balance of control and distance. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to try the 2019 versions!
  15. I was away from the game for 16 years and just came back mid-summer and still love Pro V1 feel even though I regularly donate several balls a round. I had hoped it would have been like riding a bike, but unfortunately bad for me and good for Titleist, that is not the case. That said, the new TS2 driver has saved me a couple of balls each round:-)

  16. I definitely have to go along with feel BUT I think the pro v is the most consistent ball on the market
  17. I definitely agree with you on this one. Feel is everything for me. The response from 120 in is crucial. In order, I’d choose: 1. Feel 2. Spin 3. Flight

Feel is tops, when the ball is stuck, off the club face, though the shaft to the grip and into your hands it’s FEELS great.

Best feeling ball in golf, Xor V. The kingdom's are close, the chevron x is interesting on slow surfaces as the weight placement gives a little bit of roll at the end of a putt, but nobody's has better feel.

The latest "Proto" had the same great ProV1 feel with a significant increase in distance.
