Our course somehow got some AVX's. These are different. I believe they are the NXT replacement.

I'm pretty sure looking at the dimple pattern that the test ball sent to me to try is the new Tour Soft. I found it a little longer that the NXT that I tested it against. Had a great feel, odd thing was the draw off my driver of 7-10 yards every tee shot. The ball I normally play is normally just a straight drive. I'd probably buy a sleeve, but I see the NXT Tour S on sale for 25.00, which is a good price for that ball.

I'll give these a test spin but gotta say, I wasn't overly impressed with the AVX. Hope these are keepers.

I plan on trying them out. If they perform well I will play them. I don’t see them performing better than my ProbV1x though.

I'm curious to see how the new ball will perform for us older players. Can't wait to try it out!

I'm looking forward to trying the new Tour Soft. I had one ball to demo and I loved the feel and playability of it...... Have started using a yellow ball for winter golf so trying the yellow Tour Soft is next...
  9. New TourSoft sounds like just the ball I need. How can I get my hands on these? Not available for a long while at my pro shop!
  10. Been playing with this ball for the last few weeks and have to say I have been impressed so far.

Solid distance off the tee. A little more spin then I've previously had. Certainly getting more draw off the ball at present.

I believe I may of added 5 yards off the previous NXT which I have been using during these winter months.

In terms of control around the green, difficult to measure with it being very wet at present but I do believe they give a little more control as notice the stopping distance on longer irons has been better than the NXT.

First ball I have used has last 3 rounds so far with no obvious abrasions to the surface so overall performing very well.

Will keep using over to coming months and update toward the end of the close season with any more insight.

I played the Tour Soft on Friday and after the first tee shot both my playing partner and I declared it the softest ball we had ever played. It's hard to say much about it as far as distance and spin are concerned as it was 41 degrees and very wet with 10-15 mph winds. I plan to play it again this week with temps in the 60's.
  12. Played the new Tour Soft yesterday..not a fan. I’ve been playing the AVX and for me the AVX has better feel, longer, and held up better. Before the AVX I played the NXT Tour S which is why I gave the Tour Soft a shot..have to admit I liked the feel of the NXT over the Tour Soft. Titleist should have scrapped this project and launch the AVX nationwide
  13. Played a dozen of the new Tour Soft balls. It's about the same as the now defunct NXT Tour S. In other words, it has decent distance, a Suryln blend cover and you need to be really good ( I'm not) to spin it. I would not buy any more as there are far better Urethane options for about the same price. The AVX I love as it has great distance and spins. The problem with the AVX is the brutally high cost. Every other high quality ball is less expensive. Chrome Soft and srxn are capturing my business with high quality, Urethane offerings at a better price.
