Looking forward to enjoying the experience of the TSR Driver and Fairway Clubs with a fitting at the Titleist Performance Centre at Woburn alongside Nick Drane.

My current set up of TSI 3 Driver and Fairway Clubs are working extremely well for me, however there is always room for improvement.

My TSi3 driver has been my favorite driver of all time. Also been loving my TSi2 3 wood and TSi2 hybrid.

I hope Titleist puts the Ventus TR in their matrix with the release of the TSR driver family. I had to go secondary market to get the Ventus TR 6x in my TSi3 head. If so, the day it launches I will be ordering a TSR3 9* with Ventus TR 6x (tipped a half inch) A1 position, playing at 45" with a +4 weight in it (at Neutral) to get me to D3-D4 swing weight, MCC Black/White Midsize.

  4. My most anticipated release! Excited to hear more about the fairways.

The TSR looks so good! What I’ve seen and heard so far has me super excited for this new driver. You can’t go wrong with any Titleist driver but the sound this one has with the ball coming off the face sounds extra sweet.

  7. What stock shaft’s will these be offered in ? I’m sure I could order anything but I’m asking what will I find in the golf shop ?

I love the look and, as always, the Titleist designers continue to innovate. The fact that many pros put them in the bag immediately, speaks volumes. These guys don’t just change because of marketing-hype!!

I always laugh at the chorus of ‘let me try one’ posts … I’m perfectly OK with the first testers being the guys with their names on their bags!!

I love my TSi3, best driver I have ever played, if these are better, wow. Cannot wait to test them.

In my case, what will the LH options be?
The full line will be announced closer to when dealers get the fitting kits. My guess is it will be in early August, with pre-orders available until the full launch around the end of September or early October.

Really hoping to see a TSR 1. I currently play the TSi 2 but should have been in a TSi 1.

Hoping a TSR1 wood set will be released by year end or early in ‘23.
  14. Team, When will we see the specs on the new TSr line of metals? Currently using TS3 driver and TS2 3 metal while my buddy uses TSi metals. For me there was not really any difference besides sound. Used flight scope (indoor and outdoor) and found flight, distance and dispersion to be very similar. Will the TSr show noticable difference to make me change up?

As for the details (specs) being released, they typically hit in the early fall, when pre-ordering is announced. Specific dates are not discussed until they happen. As for the performance numbers, probably varies from individual to individual. The club-heads will have differences and sometimes performance is combined with new shaft technology so the combination of both might work for you. When I buy a new car (way too often) it is not solely to get better gas mileage. I want the new look and smell too. New is not for everybody, and that's okay too.

I am the gas mileage person in our family (KIA) and my wife style and looks (BMW). We are like water and oil but we have mixed well for 44 years. I had a 917D2 before changing to the TSi3. The TS clubs just did not work for me, so I do not change every year either. In working with my two fitters (Titleist Product Specialist outside and Titleist Certified Fitter/Titlist Account inside), if we cannot get at least ten yards and maintain good accuracy, we do not change, regardless how pretty they are. Titleist makes equipment for everyone and is it change necessary every cycle? That is why they have certified fitters to let you know. Please use them.

Good for you Chuck. Someone has to drive those KIA's. As I said, new is not for everyone and budgets certainly play a factor but as a Team Titleist Ambassador, if I can represent the brand by showing the new stuff when I am on the course, that's what I plan to do. And yes, getting it properly fit to match my old, declining capabilities is always important.

Nothing wrong with driving those KIA's. I do agree with Dale that representing the latest offering is great brand exposure to the general public who are not part of Team Titleist.

New is not necessarily for everyone and budgets do come into affect. Thank goodness Titleist releases product on a 2 year cycle unlike the other OEM's.

Personally for me, when looking for a new driver or clubs, it's not how much distance I can pick up because it's almost understood that I will gain a few yards. Gaining 10 yards is close to gaining 5 mph more in ball speed which is close to 3 mph more in club head speed. Doesn't sound like a lot but having done some speed training earlier this year, I worked really hard to gain 1 mph.

More so with the driver it should really be about ball flight and your misses. Can you hit is higher which will be more carry and more distance but for me it's all about my misses. How do my misses end up? What is the distance and dispersion loss on my miss? If my misses are more playable then the club goes in the bag. Going from the TS2 to the TSi3, my misses were much better. I picked up 2-3 yards of distance but if I know my miss will be more playable, I can swing with more confidence which I will hit further more consistently

Given technology on drivers is capped by USGA in terms of COR, only so much you can do to push that limit but you can engineer the club to perform better on misses and be more consistent.

I will be adding the TSR Driver, 3W, and 5W to the bag. I'm upgrading from the Titleist 910 series, so it's time. Planning to go the TPI route and get fitted. I cant wait.

Looks great - will have to beat my TSI3 for me to change so we will see...
  23. I got fitted for the TSi3 3 Wood last week at fitting at my local club. I desperately need a 3W and was going to order it, but the fitter recommended waiting a few months for the new TSR. Hope he is right!

Playing the TSi2 recently. I am thinking I might go with the TSR3 this time around.

So….when does the new TSR driver heads arrive at the retailers so that I can get fitted?
  25. Was just about to add a TSi2 7 wood to the bag, will be patiently waiting instead now!
  26. I play tsi 2 can't wait to see tsr2
