  1. I start with the 7 iron to warm up. Drop down to the 9i then up to a 5i. I'll then hit a few SW/GW shots to a few different distances. Finally I'll hit a couple 3W and end with the driver.

After that it's off to the putting green. I try to hit about 15-20 puts from 3'. finally I'll roll some longer ones. I figure if I can knock in the 3'ers I'm saving par.

  2. If I am playing a match or a tournament, I may or may not hits some balls first. Most often I don't hit balls. I like to get there early before a game, say 30-45 minutes before tee off, and I don't like to rush. I always spend time on the practise green measuring the speed of the greens. Usually, it carries over to the game itself, and the results are usually favourable.

I have a couple of clubs that have a ball loosely attached to a wedge shaft and one on a driver shaft. I loosen up by swinging both, making sure the "swoosh" sound is at the proper location while maintaining a flat left wrist. This works for me as a tempo and position trainer.

Thank you for asking. It also gives a good sample of what we do on the driving g range.

I start with either my 52 or 48 wedge and hit a few full shots then alternate between the 40, 60 and 80 yard flags. Then I hit a few 8 irons which is usually my second shot on Hole #1 and then finish with a few 4 irons which I'll use on the first tee. Depending on time and temperature I'll add in a few 3 woods. Don't hit the driver much on the practice range. Then I'll hit the putting green and start with some longer putts uphill and then down hill. Then some 10 footers and finish with a few 3 footers.
  6. I like to spend about 15 minutes stretching before I even get to the course. Then I like to spend about 20 minutes at the short game practice facility if they have one. After that I head to the range for about 20-30 minutes and start with my wedges and work my way up to my driver. After the range I head to the putting green to work on the flat stick. I like putting 4 balls and I usually surround the hole like a compass. I'll start with 3 footers and work out to 20 feet or so. Then I'll roll a couple lag putts and go back to 3 footers. Something with seeing putts go in even if they're from short range helps my confidence.

I usually just go to the putting green for a few putts. I may mess up the first tee shot, but I am good to go after that.

If you have the time, a nice warm up is great! Unless its a tournament, most of us rush out to the course and are thankful to have maybe four+ hours to play. I always try to give myself 20-30 Minutes to arrive at the course before my tee time. After checking in, I do some quick stretches and loosen up by swinging the Orange Whip (very helpful before that first tee shot. If the putting green is near the first tee, I will roll some putts.

Hi everyone - As summer continues to roll on, I've been trying to hone in my game. However, I tend to stick to the same routine: Hit the range, a few chips in a practice area (not nearly enough) and roll some putts before I head to the tee.

What's your practice routine before you arrive at the first tee? We want to know with the quick poll below.

    Good luck, all!

I will normally start with short pitches and work up to full swings. I do this through the hole back until I get to the woods. It helps me know what I have with each club. That way when I am between clubs on the course, I know I can back this one down etc.
  10. Depending what tees I'll play, forward tees, Driver, 3 wood, hybrid 26*, 23*, 8 iron, then volkey wedges....I make just enough swings to see which way my ball is flying for that day...chipped a couple checking spin and run out, then putt......But most of my work is done on a range where I'll spend 3-5 hours, practice different types of shots, so when I encounter something when I play, I can reflect back and have an idea how to hit a shot that is needed......So there's 2 types of practice's....Range and game day....Always lipper up/relax....have fun......boots

It depends on how late I'm running to the course. Normally stretch about 5 minutes with a club (warm up the shoulders, back, and glutes). About 10 balls with a wedge, 6 balls with a 6-iron, 4 balls with a 3-iron, then about 4 drivers. Hit a couple short putts, and about 6 longer putts for speed. After that it's off to try and get the course record.
  16. I like to start with 20 minutes of yoga golf stretching, then 5 to 10 minutes of wedge to driver back to wedge using net at my house then as much time on the putting green at the course as I can, at least 20 minutes and I am ready to win!

Turn off golf channel, drive really fast in order to make it in time for T time. After about 6 holes finally warmed up and stretched begin to hot some decent shots. After 18th hole wish would have stretched and warmed up prior in order to break 80, guess next time have to do that. At least I had a chance to golf! ️‍♂️
  18. Start out with wedges, hit 9, 7, and 5 iron, then move on to hybrids and then driver. Then I hit the putting greens.

Stretch for a few mins and just chip and putt to get a feel for the greens speed
  20. I exercise at home to loosen up muscles and gain some flexibility. With rotator cuff discomfort, salampas patches are taped on my left shoulder.couple of advils,im off to the course.ill warm up on the range with wedges first, then 8 iron shots,6 iron shots,3 wood shots,a couple of drivers.then to putting green.ill first work on stroke by getting line on ball to roll correctly, then some 25 foot putts uphill and downhill
Then I'll work on 3 foot putts around the hole until we go the first tee
