  1. John P, The TP5 just sounded dead off the clubs, not that usual sound from a ProV, about the same distance as a ProV but a lower ball flight for me. Around the the greens, just a little less check and spin and off the putter, not the feel or sound I’m accustomed to. Not a bad ball, but not for my game. The TP5X just hung out in the wind like a balloon. I’ve tested every ball out there just for kicks and have always trusted Titleist. Works the best for my game.

Jeffery, thanks for the reply. I switched from the ProV1X into the TP5X last year before trying the newest Pro V1. I actually thought the TP5X was much better in the wind, especially cross winds. They definitely spin less around the greens, which is why I am looking at moving back to the Pro V1. Thanks for the review.

Over nearly 50 years of playing golf and maintaining a low hcp. I have tried nearly every type of top line ball on the market and have come to one conclusion, the Titleist ProV series is the most consistent of all. I have found one other ball that is close, but not worth changing. Titleist has maintained a quality that is hard if not impossible for others to challenge or meet. I am not hardcore on all Titleist products, but the ball will always be in my bag.
