Unless it's just a hack it around session, I allow myself a new ProV1X out of the box on the first tee for each round. If it finds it's way into the dark, then I'll go back to a leftover from a previous round to finish.

Tournaments, special events, or very special courses, new Pro V. Otherwise, one that's in very good shape.

I reach in the bag and grip n rip...unless its a nice new course or a tourney then I break out a fresh new ball intentionally.

I just played my 192nd round in 2017. If I put a new Pro V1 into play on the first tee in every round, I'd be broke. I did the 4 for 3 deal back in April again and still have a dozen or so of this newest model left. In fact, I still have some from the same deal back in 2016. Though they are the previous model, they are perfectly fine. As long as the Pro V is still clean and playable, it stays in the bag and is used as needed. I use a new Pro V on the first tee, only in more important rounds.

On days where conditions are bad and no one is out on the course, I will sometimes go ball hawking. I have easily found over 100 virtually new, 2017 model, one-hit-wonders this year. Many of those go into my bag along with a couple sleeves of my personalized/customized Pro Vs. All the hundreds of other balls I find are cleaned, separated into brands/models and put into range buckets which fill my garage. When I find a few dozen of a model that are all in good condition, I will sell them on ebay to some poor soul who doesn't care about playing the best ball in golf!

The course I play the most has it's range on the left side of the 1st fairway separated by a few large trees. I begin the day with a yellow NXT Tour S so I can spot it easily if I happen to pull my opening drive amongst the white range balls. If I'm good and in play then it's swapped out for a gently-used ProV1. I only play fun golf and not serious about switching balls at will.

I usually just play the first ball I pull out of my bag. I save the scuffed ones for the shag bag.

I may not start a round with a new ball but; I always play par 3's with a new ProV1.

I always start with a new ball, but will generally switch between slightly used balls during the round. Something I have always done since high school when our coach said if you can't hit a new ball because of fear of loosing it then you're not going to play your best. So I always start with a new ball.

For me it depends on the course and circumstance. If I am playing a prestigous course, or a tournament a new ball always comes out. A lesser course will be a used ball

Every one of my rounds I believe deserves a fresh start. I will also use a fresh ball in every hole that has a forced carry to help me concentrate on making it over the trouble and not lose the ball.

If the ball isn't scuffed up, then it gets pegged.

I generally use what's in the bag when playing for fun, or practice, and a new ball for more serious play. I even mix it up with different ball models, or even a found ball to try out the competition. But, when it comes time to break open that new sleeve, I guarantee that ball's a Titleist every single time. Between my late Father and I, we've been playing Titleist consistently for almost 80 years. Some things you never change. TT!

A New ProV1x Start of every round. One red dot between the logo and letters. If I complete the round with the same ball, it is taken out of play and and put in the practice bag.

Water on the left with a ditch at about 180 yards and trouble on the right. It’s a killer in a medal, so an older ball is generally on the tee

If I finished a previous round strong I'll keep the old ball in play for the next. If not, a new one is in play for the next round.

Usually. If I grab a ball and it’s in really good condition, I’ll go with that, but otherwise it’s usually a fresh one.
