Chris, what is the new SM7 60.12D replacing for you? SM6 60.12K?

I am curious because I'm torn between the new 58.14K and the 58.12D. One of the two versions will replace my worn out SM6 58.12K. I really loved the K grind, but not so sure I want to go to 14* of bounce which is the only option on the SM7 K. I tried both of the new 58* options (D & K), but hitting them off a mat doesn't tell me much at all. Obviously, turf interaction is of utmost importance in choosing the right wedge. There is nowhere in my area to demo them from all sorts of lies and conditions, as would be typical in a round. I did hit full shots, chips, pitches and even flop shots from the mat in the golf shop, but it is nowhere near the same as the real thing. Both wedges felt perfectly fine so, I am no further along on my decision than I was before I tried them out. Thankfully, my SM6 50.08F and 54.10S are available in the same bounces/grinds, so those replacements are easy. But this SM7 58* wedge choice has me a bit unsure which path to take. I depend highly on my 58 LW for about half of my shots around the green (along with my 54 handling the other half, depending on situation), so I do not want to make the wrong choice.

Any input from anyone who has played the SM6 LW in 12K, vs. the SM7 LW in 12D or 14K would be appreciated.

I just picked up three Jet Black SM7 wedges that I ordered from Roger Dunn today (52 S grind, 56 S grind, and 60K grind all bent 2 degrees flat). They are gorgeous. I will break them in tomorrow. Titleist delivered them immediately. I ordered them on Tuesday, March 20th, and they arrived today, March 23rd. Of course I only live about three hours from Carlsbad. Thank you Titleist for the quick delivery. Rob

I'm debating. My TVD's are from 2011! I was hoping Vokey would come out with forged wedges. They offer them in Japan. Please post your impressions after you put your "raw" in play.
  6. Great looking club Chris! Play well with it!

Waiting for mine! Have a 54 M and 60 D with brushed steel finish on order. I'd have preferred to have the 54 as a D and the 60 as an M, but that wasn't possible. If the 60 D has too much bounce, I'll have to modify it with the belt sander or bench grinder, but hopefully not!

Mine won't have the weight ports like yours, though! How do you like it so far?
