Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the Team Titleist Shotgun Start at the stunning St Ives Golf Course—a day that turned out to be far more than just a round of golf.

The morning began with registration, where I was greeted with a TT goodie bag—always a great way to set the tone. Soon after, I was whisked into the FootJoy shoe fitting, where state-of-the-art technology measured my feet to match me with the perfect pair. A quick warm-up on the range followed, before heading over to the Scotty Cameron putting challenge, where one lucky golfer would walk away with a brand-new putter.

After a short introduction from Will, who set the stage for the day, we made our way to our starting holes. From then on, the fun never stopped. There were challenges dotted around the course—nearest to the pin with hickory clubs, beat the pro, and even the chance to take on Will Sutton on a Par 3 for the chance to win irons in a random draw. Add in longest drive and straightest drive, and you had every type of contest to test both skill and nerves (though I’ll admit, my efforts at the latter two weren’t exactly prize-worthy!).

The company made the day even better. Huge thanks to Ian, Martin, and Mick—an absolutely brilliant group who had me laughing from start to finish. It’s been a long time since I’ve giggled that much on a golf course. A special highlight was reaching the first tee, where two young Titleist staff members greeted us with the generous gift of a dozen golf balls each—a classy touch that summed up the spirit of the day.

Once the golf wrapped up, we gathered in the dining area for a fantastic cold lunch and pudding, beautifully presented and served with top-notch hospitality by the staff at St Ives. To close, we enjoyed a Q&A with three Titleist experts who work directly with tour players—a fascinating peek into life inside the ropes on the DP World Tour.

By the end, one thing was crystal clear: no other brand delivers events quite like Titleist. It wasn’t just about golf—it was about community, learning, laughter, and giving back to the players. I left St Ives feeling privileged to be part of Team Titleist, and already looking forward to the next one.
