  1. Just been looking at getting some balls for the winter, anyone tried these, Red Tru feel Green velocity

Which stands out more through the flight and when looking off the fairway

    Mallow,

For me it's the red which is easier to track the flight, however find it harder to find on the ground especially with leaves about.
Maybe a half and half ball is the next idea...
  3. Rhys,
Responded the other night but the system seemingly couldn't take my erudite content...
I've lost a couple of dozen reds -In a clear, blue sky I occasionally see it as a black dot but most of the time I can't track it. My regular spotters are similarly confused and struggle to follow the flight. In mitigation, they're mostly in their 70's, wear varifocals and their confusion maybe totally unconnected to the ball... or golf for that matter.
In a dull, grey sky, I can see the red ball in flight until it gets to the green of trees or dunes....
Seems they are as easy to lose as white ones.
My friend tried a bright blue (I mean, truly cosmic blue!!) ball last week but I have insufficient data to submit a comment. He put it OB off the first tee and it was lost forever.
Perhaps you should just take the plunge and give them a chance. Let us know how you get on.

Thank for the info, I’ve done exactly what you suggested and bought a sleeve of both

Findings… green terrible to find on fairway but decent visibility in flight

Red was the best for me as it did stand out on fairway by a mile and was fairly good through the air

Although that being said would I switch over to colour balls throughout winter?

Probably not although red has some improvement it wasn’t big enough to go all out on coloured balls for winter
  5. Rhys,

There's nothing quite like scientific analysis in controlled conditions!!!

I've stuck with white.... ever since I ran out of coloured ammo!!
