    Grindelwald,

I'm currently wearing the Footjoy Pro/SL shoes in EUR 42.5 as the 42 was rather narrow on the toes - the 42.5 on the contrary are slightly too big Unfortunately there is no serious FJ representative nere by where I could try them

Has anyone experience with the wide version and if this might fit better?

I wear the extra wide they are fantastic the most comfortable shoe I’ve worn I have extra wide in the dry hot tour both a great fit don’t stretch to much I think also I could wear a wide in the sl but enjoy the extra wide

I've no experience of wide but I wear extra wide too and they are very comfortable. I'm going to wear them all through the Winter rather than switching to my usual DryJoys Tour. So far they have been fine as far as grip goes even in very wet and muddy conditions - you just have to be careful.

My only gripe is that there is a limited range in extra wide but I can live with that.

  4. Chris,
There is nothing worse than tottering round a golf course with sore/pinched/blistered/aching feet.
I find it almost impossible to concentrate in those circumstances.... I become more interested in my discomfort.
I've more than once played the final few holes in my socks, which is not good.
Five miles in badly fitting shoes is a nightmare and usually leads to a couple of appointments with the chiropodist.
Like you, I'm a size 8 (42) but I too struggle with widths.
I don't even bother to look at Adidas, Sketchers, Puma, UA or swoosh as I find them all to be toe crushers.
I find I can only get FootJoy or Ecco to fit comfortably so I stick to them. Even then I only buy after trying them on and never buy on-line. I usually have 4 pairs on the go so that I don't get caught out!
    Good luck with your quest.

I’ve got the wide ones and they fit great , if anything I have some room to play with, but only a very small amount

Can’t stress the importance of shoe fitting.

I brought some PRO SL shoes which in store felt like walking on carpets once my golf socks went on and 10 holes in I was walking like a man walking on hot coal.

The pain was horrible, get fit just like your clubs hahaha

    I had a M fitting now I have the W fitting.

Does anyone know where you can attend a proper FJ shoe fitting.

Had a FJ shoe fitting day at my old job at Direct golf in Peterborough which as amazing.

Any info would be a great help.

Happy new year to all TT fans.

This is something that has bugged me for a while, I’ve tried all other brands but always come back to FJ. I tried on many different variants and felt 9.5 wide was right for me, then a few years ago I got fitted by FJ on the tour round the UK, they told me exactly the same size, but other shoes from FJ would fit different as they are made on different lasts. I then tried the original Pro SL in 9.5 w but found them too big so had 9 wide. They are tight to start with but after about a month they are great.
  8. Exactly the same as you, went 42 wide
    It was perfect
