I purchased a set of T200’s early September after two weeks the 9 iron head came off, my local pro was able to repaired it. Then this week the P/W head came off, so the whole set has been sent back to Acushnet to be checked. I’ve been playing golf since the late eighties and gone through a few sets of Titleist irons and this is the first time this has ever happened. I must say I am very disappointed, it’s not something I would of expected from Titleist. Hopefully they will come back ok and it won’t happen again.

Could just be the glue hadn’t set properly.

I’m sure Titleist will take care of you.
  3. Clearly lightening can strike twice - maybe it was a bad glue batch or just a slightly rushed job. I had a minor problem with the Titleist inset on my T100 5 iron. The key thing in buying from Titleist is the certainty it will be sorted - slightly frustrating short term but very comforting long term.

Hope you get your set back very soon and can get back out there.
  4. A bit disappointed not to see a reply here from titleist.
Seems a bad quality control issue, maybe bad glue batch or not correctly applied.
Hope it hasn't effected many other people.

It's not directly a Titleist issue - my friend has a brand new set of Cobra F9 irons and the 5 iron head got sent 100yds down the driving range on their first practice hit! Likely an issue with the glue that is being used.
  6. That's why we trust Titleist No1 in customer's service to sort there problems quickly . Yes it is unfortunate but when you consider the amount of sets being made up and sent out there will be an odd problem. Enjoy then once they return and hit it straight and true happy golfing !

Got them back today all heads have been removed and re-glued and torqued (don’t ask). Took them to the range and hit about six shots with each of them all ok. I’m playing 18 holes on Sunday so they will get a good work out. Hopefully no more issues.

Glad you got them sorted. Titleist customer service is top notch.
Your irons will be torqued just like wheel nuts on a car( to check the strength/tightness of repair normally in Nm )

I’ve had issues with my Irons right from receiving them, beginning with the wrong setup of two degrees upright instead of two degrees flat, full set returned and sorted.
Then two heads came off, full set returned and sorted. I've now purchased a T200 five iron which has also come with the wrong spec, more upright instead of two degrees flat, again to be returned and sorted. All issues have been and will be sorted, but I'm very dissapointed with the quality of service I've received from Titleist I would of expected much better from them. I know for a fact that My local pro has given Titleist the correct spec for both orders.
My concern now is that as my irons were originally bent two degrees upright then bent to two degree's flat, (four degrees in total) and bearing in mind they should only be bent by two degrees either way for loft and lie otherwise they could be weakened or break, and now my five iron is going to be re-bent. I'm beginning to wander if there is any weakness in them which isn't giving me much confidence in them and I'm now wandering should I have them replaced as I'm afraid something else will go wrong with them.

I would like to thank Luke and Daniel from Acushnet for all that they have done to help rectify the issues I've had with my irons and to put the confidence back into Titleist for me.
