  1. Good Evening, Newbie here and to Titleist! Only currently using a pro v1! However have a fitting on 30/10 at St Ives and cannot wait.

    Currently using png G400 6-pew with a 4 and 5 hybrid.

However, I’ve read about blending and see that it could be possible to have a T300 5-7 and T200 8-PW? Would this work. Hoping the fitting will tell me. Let me know your thoughts

    Cheers

    Glynn

  2. I think the T200/T300 are much more suited to blending than mixing the T100 with any of the other T range due to lofts.

The T100/T300 are pretty much the same lofts, only 1 degree in it at the longer end of the bag, v's 4/5 degrees if blending with T100. You could always have the longer stuff in the T300 bent 1 degree weak to match the lofts of the T200 too.

At the end of the day its all about yardages and gapping so youd have to try it out and see, I just cant see how the T100 blends with the rest unless you play say 2 6 irons or something.
  3. *Should have said the T200/T300 are pretty much the same lofts
  4. Glynn,
For what it's worth, I agree with VanVeen above.
I've got the 718 AP2 (PW, 9, 8) and AP3's (7,6,5) combo'd and just to add spice to the mix, a T-MB 4iron and a U500 3iron. There is a bit of a gap in lofts between the 8 & 7 but I live with it without any bending or twisting.
The thing for me was proper fitting by a specialist fitter. My irons are all 2 degrees flat and the right shaft and grip size were the elements of fine tuning that really make the set function effectively.
Get a good Titleist fitter (you can find the list of Titleist Advanced fitters on this site under the Fitting heading) and try the merchandise!

    Biggleswade,

I’m going to keep it brief, I think blending is an excellent idea giving you the best options all the way through.

Got to try the new range the other week and contemplating changes to my AP2’s (718) to a blend. Lofts can be adjusted to make this even more seemless

    Go for it!!!
  6. All thanks for your replies. Much appreciated! Cannot wait to head to St Ives next week.
