Has anyone tried the new AVX ball? If so, what is like in comparison to a Pro V? Are any of th tour players switching to it?

Looking forward to trying out the AVX as looks like it has the low spin low launch I need, hopefully with similar feel to the ProV's and Tour Soft...

13 GHIN player, all Titleist bag, and have played the Pro V1x exclusively for at least the last 4years (before that I would throw in the NXT occasionally). Just played the AVX today May 5th, as I was curious about a third option for a premium ball. I have to say I am very impressed with this ball. On pure strikes every club is longer than my Pro V1x. The lower spin rate, seems to make this ball much easier to control and even forgiving on miss hits (less spin seems to equal less unintentional curve). However, I can still shape shots when required and stop it on the green nearly as well as the Pro V1. I don’t know the science behind this ball but it does seem to have just enough spin with shorter irons and wedges to still have bite on the greens, while also having a low enough spin rate to want to fly straighter and penetrating. I felt that I adjusted to the ball well enough within three or four holes, that I could control it as well or better than the Pro V1x in every situation. When I would on the occasion play the NXT some green side and less than full wedges would roll out much more than I wanted and would find myself saying that’s the biggest difference from the Pro V1, I don’t feel that way at all with the AVX. I want to describe this ball as Tour Level Performance for low to mid handicappers, dare I even call it a game improving ball?!?! It’s only been a 1 round experiment but this could become my new go to ball.
