As the header says I’m not going to lie but I am a little disappointed I didn’t receive any balls to trial from Team Titleist uk/Ireland . I would be interested to here what the members who did get them thought of them ?

I may be wrong here Barry but speaking to a few other TT members, we didn't receive any balls to trial either. The thing we all have in common is that on our profiles we state we use Pro V's.

I don't know what type of ball was being sent out but I don't believe it was a Proto Pro V (more likely the AVX or something?) so I would guess that the people who have the NXT / NXT Tour S / Velocity as their ball of choice was the ones who received these balls to trial.

As ive said, I may be wrong (cue loads of TT members commenting saying they have Pro V on their profile but received the balls haha) but that's my take on the situation!

    Kirkcaldy,

Never had any to test yet but keeping fingers crossed for next time
  5. I'm not disappointed, it's a numbers game. There are several thousand active TT members and not everyone can receive a sleeve of prototype balls.

I think you may be onto something there Tom. The pics I have seen of the test balls appear to be more like the NXT as they are a slightly different white to the Pro V range. I believe this is due to the different materials the NXTs are made of.

Hi Guys ... here in Canada, we've had some members ask the same question as Barry. The response that we have received is that the trial or test balls being sent out right now are apparently the newer test model for the NXT's. As such, the only people that would receive them are the TT members that specify NXT as their preferred golf ball.

I suspect that most if not all of you play the Pro V series of golf balls and as such were not included in this series of test balls. I may be wrong, and if so, I hope a Titleist concierge or TT staffer will jump in and correct me.

Don't be disappointed. I've never received anything except a Team Titleist bag tag which I completed a form for. Maybe one day I'll get a nice surprise in the mail.
  9. Dont worry I am sure you will receive an opportunity in the future. As others have stated the ball looks like an NXT so if you are using a prov1 or nxt I wouldn't have thought you would be picked to test them.

Even though the feedback is appreciated I would be more inclined to believe the balls are sent to those hoping they will be tempted to upgrade.

I received a sleeve of DT Trusofts a month or so ago, along with a bag tag and a ball marker (all came separately) it was nice to come home to an unexpected package from TT, I'm sure your time will come fella.

I tend to agree with the others, the balls on recent test were not Pro V1s so maybe Team Titleist members who were targeted were using a different ball, hopefully you'll get your chance to test Pro V1 prototypes when the launch them
  12. I've not received any either but agree with several comments above that the ball you specify you play with will more than likely be the one you receive to try.

Here's hoping for better fortune next year.
