  1. We are traveling to the Big Island a little later this year and the way the schedule is looking, I should be able to play a couple of rounds while I am there. I believe we are going to be staying on the Kona side of the island and was hoping there might be some recommendations on which courses to play. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Here's some that you can check out on the Kona side that I like. Kona Country Club, Makani Golf Club, Makalei Golf Club on the slopes of Hualalai Mountain. If you don't mind driving 28+ miles to the Kohala Coast there's Mauna Lani North & South, Mauna Kea which I really enjoy playing.

There are some great courses north of Kona, but from my experience the Kona Country Club is more enjoyable and relaxing.

Big Island is my favorite with Kohola Coast (North from Kona Airport) as picturesque as anywhere on earth. Mauna Lani has been our go-to for sometime and with 36 on property you're bound to make memories.
Farther north is Mauna Kea (designed by Robert Trend Jones Sr) and just south is Hualalai (home to the PGA Tour Champions event). Can't go wrong at any.

    Enjoy the journey!
