The seller claims the product is 100% authentic. Is there a way that I can check if the serial # is valid once I purchase it?

Hi Ricky, We have information on our website regarding counterfeit clubs at::

    http://www.titleist.com/customerservice/counterfeit.asp

The serial number will not authenticate your clubs because counterfeit clubs often have legitimate serial numbers stamped on them.  All authorized retailers will be listed on our website at www.Titleist.com under Golf shop locator at the top of the page.  If they are not listed, they are not authorized.  The second rule of thumb is "if the price is too good to be true, it is too good to be true".    If you choose to purchase your clubs from an individual seller, you will have to trust the seller.

Thank you for your timely response!!

  4. If I were you, I'd visit your local Titleist rep. Have him/her, take care of you!

Check the feedback and ask whether the seller has a returns policy, if the returns policy allows you to return under any circumstance then you can have your local Titleist Dealer inspect them and if they're legit then happy days and If not the seller should allow you to return for a full refund. eBay will also help you if he doesn't accept the refund and you are insured via paypal anyway.....

    Good Luck

Some of the sellers on ebay are also store owners, and are authorized dealers selling trade-ins.

I trust 3ballsgolf on ebay, if you want new you have to go to 3balls.com, and of course not being an auction you will find the new stuff priced like new stuff.

3balls claims to be an authorized dealer, I have never checked on that.

    Hi Cathi,

Do you know anything about eBay seller, golfbuggers? They are selling Titleist AP1 710 irons with the NST Pro Stiff 4-PW for 529.00. Too good to be true?

All authorized internet sellers for us will have a brick and mortar store that sells retail equipment.  If Golfbuggers does not have a store that you can look up under Golf shop locator (at the top of the screen), they are not an authorized account.  Also, it sounds like they are selling a 7 piece set instead of the usual 8 piece 4-PW, W.
