As I understand it, the current TT forum is closely tied to the general Titleist.com site. I believe a Titleist app needs to be created first before a TT app.

I’m ok without an app. I have too many already and with the available social media platforms I can access various tools from fittings to buying equipment on line. Have too many apps already for keeping score. What else would an app do? It’s not like they would give direct access to employees or sponsored players.

There have been a couple of lengthy discussion threads on this topic. Do not expect one anytime soon. An app is just a device shortcut and the content is where most people are asking for more. The forum is a monitored and filtered content discussion group. We already the Facebook group going out of control with posting violations and aggressive content. Having an app with unfiltered monitoring could create liability issues for Titleist. Using an app for purchases might make it easier on the person with only a phone and not a computer but it would not change anything on the merchant side. Any additional media tools or content requires budget for creation, maintenance, and support that is currently not in the overall Titleist budget. I for one am appreciative that they carve out the budget to give us these current benefits.

I think this is a great idea, but not only a TT app, but a Titleist app.

Can we PLEASE get a Team Titleist app?!? Make it easy to comment on threads and get simple notifications on responses and likes. Polls to vote on changes we'd like to see as shareholders in the company on products, future TT events, etc because commenting on social media on their posts does absolutely nothing for our profile or to be heard. At least a moderator sees these posts and an app would be great. If you have enough moderators to look through every comment, you can def afford to monitor an app that AI can help you create with some recent college grads who are looking for a career with Acushnet!

Sounds like a lot of additional costs to Titleist that could potentially eliminate TT. Maybe like what happened to the FJ community and Ambassador program, which many of us experienced and are dedicated TT members. As a shareholder in a few companies in the past, I received voting rights at the annual meeting and election of officers. I had the opportunity to attend or to proxy vote, not at my discretion. Titleist sends out products and asks members of the community for their opinions. I respond when asked to participate. Do not feel that TT is in a position to be taking polls on how Titleist R&D should be making changes in products. Their R&D departments are highly proficient, number one in the industry, and are doing it the right way. TT is not a Titleist suggestion box. I agree with Dale in that Titleist has been very good to TT by supporting us in their budget thru these hard times, by bringing staff to our events, to demo products, instructors, touring Pros, i.e. Meeting people at these events is one of the opportunities we experience, playing golf, and learning about Titleist products. Those looking for employment with Titleist can always click on employment below and follow that dream. I for one am happy with where we are and hope we can continue into the future as TT. That's your opinion.. I'm def ready for an app! Don't let mistakes of the past dictate the future. Let's not repeat losing our voice because they made a poor decision years ago. These notifications are terrible trying to find a thread where you comment was replied to or "liked". What hard times are you referring to? Acushnet stock is up.. golf courses are getting the most play they ever have.. golf is all over social media growing by the day. These are not hard times by any means lol TT is larger than it ever has been it's time to grow with us and move into the future and learn from those past mistakes. And please stop making footwear that looks like Skechers and clothes that look like fanatics lol some products get better and others they need to quit changing for the worse. Pro SLX is getting nowhere near the love past models got. Social media doesn't take any suggestions into account from their customers.

Regardless of all that... An app could be super snappy and user friendly rather than the current outdated, difficult and user "unfriendly" website we currently have. Just scrolling through products if you touch a product while scrolling it automatically takes you to that product. You have to scroll on a blank space between products.

Modern times require modern solutions and sure this website "works just fine" but it could be so much better and an app would\could be even more intuitive. I'm hearing a lot of let's not change anything because it's hard and not enough solutions. Obviously this TT app question has come up NUMEROUS times over YEARS of this group and yet you think it's still not needed\wanted. Many of us want it. Why wouldn't Titleist listen and make it happen. You don't have to download the app if you don't want to lol let us have an app!

This topic could be debated all day and obviously it has become an emotional hot button for some. Maybe you come to the Team Titleist Invitational and we sit down at the bar with a few drinks and talk with the Titleist Digital Media folks about the pros and cons to get a better understanding about the current and future state? Never hurts to understand the full picture and reasons from both sides.

Too many apps = too many phones.
    Let's just play golf.

Make an app, it is how the world operates now.

If some post content that violates rules and regulations, ban them, no questions asked. That will change behaviors quickly.

I like Dale’s idea to sit down at a bar, and maybe even discuss social media options..

I am willing to listen what the advantage is with an app for what I do with Titleist. Frankly, I have multiple golf apps for course GPS, competition scoring, tee time scheduling, and handicap inputs. Screen size is a limitation for phone apps. I have more than 1 financial institution app, and screen size is yet another limitation on “the big picture”. My primary use is for depositing the rare check I get. I just don’t have a need to use a Titleist specific app as it is not anything I need to access in a timely basis. So I’m ok with the web since I prefer the real estate screen size with tablet or desktops. Even a couple of the comments by app supporters requires scrolling on a phone to my annoyance.

Input on equipment design and feedback from app users is a red herring. It is both a biased sample compared to the market, and from what I see on the Facebook site, either makes suggestions from what other vendors have done or suggestions that have been made in the past and answered. Forged wedges are going nowhere and mimicking carbon faces when the pros make Titleist the number one driver and wedges on tour. Footjoy may not make choices I like, but an app won’t change them as much as sales numbers.

You can have an app, as long as they can be disabled on the golf course.

I am 99.9% sure there actually was an app years ago but it went away from lack of use.

Maybe it was ahead of its time or maybe the person in charge of it left the company or decided to focus on other things...

I am fine with no app.
