    Hey Team Titleist,

It's an exciting week for us as we're hitting the road and heading to Vegas for the official Tour Launch of the next generation Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls! This marks the start of our tour seeding and validation process - a critical step we take before bringing any new product to market.

Gathering feedback from the game’s best players through every stage of the R&D process and then earning their validation under the pressure of competition are critical elements in the development of all high-performance Titleist golf balls and equipment.

So stay tuned to this thread and our social channels all week as we'll be sharing some of the sights and sounds as players take these latest models out for a test drive under the bright lights of Las Vegas.

    DAY 1 UPDATE

We hit the ground running yesterday and got right to work with a bunch of eager and excited players. The buzz is building on the practice range and the initial feedback has been tremendous! Check out a few of the updates below:

UNLESS YOU ARE A PLUS HANDICAPPER, YOU WILL NOT KNOW WHAT BALL YOU ARE PLAYING.

I am an 11 handicap and I definitely can tell the difference between ProV1 and ProV1x and other balls I have tried.

Nice! Love to see it! I'd like to see a version of the Left Dot. I love that ball!

Can’t wait to try both versions. However, I am really hoping a new version of the left dash is on its way as well!!

I started using this X later this year instead of the V. So really excited to hear & see what the new models will be like & which direction I'll go with them.

  10. I look forward to the new prov1s. And to see the difference between this years balls
  11. That’s exciting. I switched to the Pro V1 this year after using the Pro V1x for several years prior to that. Always looking for more distance and spin at the same time.

Can’t wait until they are available. Great tournament to test them out in!
  13. For this 60yr old it’s Pro V1 all day. The feel and consistency is unreal.

For me, nothing performs or feels better than a Pro-V1. I really appreciate Titleist making yellow ones for my aging eyes. I have no reason to play anything else.

The reason Titlieist is #1 is because they never stop researching and making the ball better!

I had the pleasure to try out the new ProV1 (still had the "Proto" stamping). I've logged 4 rounds with the new ProV1 and comparing it to prior generation ProV1, IMO the new ball will be another winner for Titleist. For me, the 2 elements I'm looking for in a golf ball are feel and playability; the new ProV1 feels great from tee to green. From my shot tracking system (Arccos), I did notice a bit more distance with the new ProV1, granted this is only for 4 rounds. The new ProV1 is definitely, going to be my gamer. Great job Titleist!

Anecdotally comparing the proto 388 to the prior gen V, I had some unexpected distance gains. Uncharacteristically that day was windless so I can’t say how it fights the wind. Will be working with the 348 versus the X this weekend. I’ve been an X guy for the last release and will see what happens.

Cannot wait to test the ball. Great review from the Northern California flash. At my age Abdon, I can use some distance. Can't judge a ball by it's cover. It's still a Prov1. I still think you have the coolest profile on this site. And who saying Southern California is laid back. ha...ha...ha.. good seeing you pal and meeting definitely the better half.....sorry I had to bail early, but had to get home and prepare to the hurricane heading our way....made my definitely better half much happier....hakuna matata....maybe next year......it's not winning or losing, it how you are playing the game of golf....

Though brief, it was great seeing you at Streamsong. It looks like Ian followed you back home and I hope the post storm clean up wasn't too bad. Catch you at the next TTI in the meantime, I'll keep swinging that club.

Just a few aches and pains on the back and hips. We managed to clean up in two days. I let my riding lawnmower do most of the work but my back yard it just not that level and no shock absorbers on it. First time a hurricane has interfered with a TTI and we have been in NC twice, SC and FL before during the season. Feel for all our friends in FL that it affected. Hope Chuck the Titleist Product Specialist that I played with on Monday and who was doing the TSR fittings made out ok. Lived in that area. Really good person.

There isn't really much I'd change on the current version (I play the x) but a little better performance in the wind would be great. Other than that I hope it stays pretty much the same.

Really like the new side stamp. Like everyone else, really interested to learn more about these new models and see how they differ from the current generation of Pro V1 and V1x.

Look forward to trying these out, have been going back and forth on ProV1 and ProV1X; the sound of putting is really nice on the ProV1X but I love the consistency of ProV1.
