Planning a trip to the Masters! Courses to play from Charlotte to Augusta?

    We are planning a trip to the Masters and looking for some suggestions on courses to play.  We are planning to travel in to Charlotte mid morning and playing 18 that day.  The next day we will play 36 and end up staying in Columbia, SC that evening. So we need suggestions for 3 rounds.

    Any must play suggestions for great courses between Charlotte, Columbia and Augusta?  Waterford Golf Club or Charlotte Golf Links look nice...thoughts?

    Your options are endless. Since you'll be in NC, check out Pinehurst (#2's grand re-opening in, March, I believe). If you're traveling through SC, look in to Harbour Town...I HEARD that Forest Hills in Augusta isn't too bad. If I were you, I'd check out the map/where you're driving, roads, etc., then, find a city and do a search for golf courses near it.

    Thanks for the feedback, David.  I think we have some ideas based on doing exactly what you mentioned.....looking at the map to see what is en route.  I was hoping to lean on the experience of others and get a few recommendations of places people like, or even ones to stay away from.
