I was fortunate to go the Scotty Cameron Gallery for a putter fitting back in March, as matter of fact I was the last person that was able to get in there before California shutdown everything for the coronavirus. Incredible experience all around. Today I finally received my putter that I was fitted for and here are some pics of what I got from that visit!

Beautiful putter.Interesting that the 30g and weight is on the heel and the 20g weight on the toe on a putter with maximum toe flow.

Actually 20g weights are on both, the photo just looks like there is 30g on the back. I went with heavier weights because the greens I play on are very fast.

Here is more of the story of my visit: First thing if anyone ever decides to go there for a fitting experience you have to book it pretty far in advance. They only do 2 fittings a day and I can't remember exactly which days of the week they do the fittings. I made my appointment 3 months ahead of time to make sure I was able to get in. The fitting studio is inside the gallery and they spend at least 2 hours with you during the fitting process. I had booked my appointment for a Saturday, I flew out to San Diego from the east coast on a Thursday, stayed and played golf at Torrey Pines the following day on Friday. This was in mid-March, so the Covid-19 crisis was just starting to really hit pretty hard. Everyday things were changing for the worse. I got a phone call after I finished playing golf at Torrey Pines from the Scotty Cameron gallery and they told me they were closing down the gallery that day and would be closed until further notice and they needed to reschedule my fitting. Well needless to say I wasn't very happy that I had flown all the way out there just for this fitting and now it was getting cancelled. Once they realized I had travelled all the way out there they arranged to just open the gallery only for my appointment.....which was kind of cool! So I get there and they let me in and go into the fitting gallery, I'll start with the putting surface, probably the most perfect putting surface you'll ever putt on, I've never seen anything like it. They have I think it was about a 20 foot long putting surface and 9 high speed cameras setup to analyze putts from every angle possible. They have every putter Scotty makes in the studio to try. I brought in my Scotty Newport 2 Blade, so we started with rolling putts with it to see how I putted, we made one slight adjustment to my setup and stance, then I started trying out other putters. It did not take long before I started rolling in a lot putts from 20 feet with the Del Mar and I was like "this is the one" it has great feel and I really liked the look when I setup to the ball with it. Branden the fitter I was working with said from all the putting analysis he was seeing that the Del Mar definitely would be the best fit for me. So we took different configurations of that putter (length and putter grips) to see what fit me the best. Then we spent time customizing the look the way I wanted. The results are the putter you see in the pics I posted. After the fitting, I had the entire gallery to shop for myself and that is like being a kid in candy store. The book I bought is really cool it full of photography from both galleries and all the putters he's made throughout the years. No photos are allowed in the gallery so the book filled that need. When I bought the book, the guys there said they would ship it to me and they would see about getting Scotty to sign it for me, which was really cool as seen the photo! With the shutdown, I just received the putter and book this week so it has been quite a wait but well worth it for sure! The experience in itself was amazing, I couldn't recommend it enough for anyone thinking about doing it. Here is a video that shows what the fitting process is like: www.youtube.com/watch

What a great story! Thanks for sharing more details of the experience! I will definitely keep this in mind and might treat myself one day. The fact that they literally stayed open just to get you fit amidst everything happening with COVID speaks volumes to the type of brand they are. And that Scotty himself signed that book for you! So cool!

Scott, that is one of the best stories I've read on this forum in my 10 years being a Team Titleist member. Scotty is on my bucket list as one of the greatest artists in golf that I've yet to meet. Having him sign the book and your great experience at the Gallery is something to remember forever. Congrats and roll the rock well!

Scott, glad to hear that you had a great time at the Gallery and you had it all to yourself.
My wife and I have been to the Gallery once and had a ball, When Frank (no longer at the Gallery) found out that I was a lefty he brought out some tour putters from the back room. I ended up buying a 009M carbon putter with sole stamping that I haven't seen on another lefty. I also bought Patriot covers and a few other items as well. I had the putter for a year and had some serious health issues last August and couldn't golf so I decided to sell the putter, which I now regret since I didn't need the money.

pretty sweet putter there. i had also stopped in there in early March and asked about the fittings. i was a bit surprised when he told me the starting price of the putter would be, but it’s definitely nice there. Hopefully can do a fitting there one day.
