So, the last few rounds i’ve been hitting my drive right down the fairway and don’t have to look to see where it goes (the best feeling) only to have the worst feeling happen next and then flub the second shot, lol. Anyone else ever like this?.

  2. I call it the Almosts! Worst is looking over your scorecard and seeing where you could’ve shaved off strokes if you did... instead of .... At least it gives you a focus point at the range.

I call that this past weekend.. Lol.. I finally started hitting my drives in a better place only to chunk a wedge or hit a long iron thin, I pulled irons, topped fairway woods. Mixed bag this weekend was.

But I also forgot about each bad shot & got ready for the next one so I salvaged some of the holes to be respectable. But yes it's not fun when that happens, but we are human.

Last Sunday I was even par through#8 (we play 9 holes).I hit it beautifully all the way around, but found a way to double 9 with less than driver in my hand.Lousy way to shoot 37.

Yesterday, I hit every single fairway; made 4 straight pars out of the gate, and proceeded to chunk everything coming in going 7 over for the last 5.

    Oh well...

Man that's golf, amateur division. Believe me, I can empathize with every on of these posts because at one time or another, if something bad can happen, I've done it.

I call it "The getta birdie and immediately give it back bogey!"
  7. I think we've all been there. You have to take the good with the bad in this game and it only takes one good shot to put the smile back on my face #easilypleased

Such is golf, most of my great shots are followed by a chunk.

Agree with what Todd said. It is called inconsistency. And practice, practice, practice can help cure that inconsistency and anxiety after hitting a great shot.

Good days and bad days, that why we are all not professional golfers lol
It’s the best game in the world when everything clicks, but also the most frustrating when you duff one lol
    We keep coming back. ️‍♂️
  13. This weekend! Starting hitting long and straight again off the tee, and usually with my irons. Came within 3 inches of two eagles. But 5 shanks led to 5 doubles and I shot 84.

Crazy game. For me, seems like when something starts working well, another part always breaks down. Part of the reason I think I love the game is the constant challenge to put it all together. Having played a few rounds with you Amanda, its obvious your game is fundamentally sound. Hang in there. Better days ahead.
  15. I hate it. The other day I hit 15 out of 18 greens in reg., but only made 3 pars. That’s golf.

This why I love/hate this wonderful game. Last weekend (fathers day) we played VA Beach National and I shot a glorious 87. Played a local course yesterday afternoon and shot 76 with three doubles! I will say the putter was on fire and saved me. If we could all put it together on every swing, we would be on tour. I love the challenge of working on my game and trying to put good swings together when I play. Love this game and love this brand!

Keep it in the short grass TT members!

Frustrated me enough to call my pro and schedule a half day of lessons! Tomorrow is the day! Bring it on.

It's the great shots that keep us coming back, and the bad ones that confound us.

    True, isn't it?

Worst feeling is missing hitting an approach shot after a great drive.

Best feeling is hitting a great approach shot after a terrible drive.

Some how I experience this more often than I’d like
