For years I fought a slice, A few lessons and a lot of range time later. My miss has now become a hook. I still push one from Time to time but with my new TS I am really fighting this hook issue. with my 917 I was hitting this sweet baby draw 90% of the time. Borrowed a friends driver different Mfg. and played two weeks with laser straight drives. Went back to my TS and went back to the hook on about 40 % of the time. I am lost just can't straighten this situation out. Really frustrating I will hit two or three really long good drives then hook 2-3. Anyone have any ideals on this.

Slow it down. Way down. Try what Hogan did and weaken up the left hand a little bit, and work it out on the range. Also like Hogan, keep working, and working and working. It'll come. If not, look up a local PGA pro, known for instruction, and make a visit.
  3. Can you fade it in the range of you want to? You just need to work out where the middle ground is.

Is it a TS2 or 3? You might be able to get some help with the weight.

Sorry to hear Dwayne. Did you get fit for the club or buy it off the rack? Sure sounds like the shaft might not be right for you. Sounds like it could be just a bit too flexible in the tip of the shaft forcing you to really time your release. If you still have that 917, try switching the shafts and see if it helps.

I would go see my pro and see what he suggests.

Me too. Well said Dale. If it turns out its not an equipment, but rather a swing issue, try to delay your release, try to "hang on" to the finish.Like a batter hitting to right field, if you can keep the right wrist from engaging too early, your chances of hooking the ball should decrease.

    Good luck. hope this helps.
  8. Had the same problem a while back, I just played the hook until my natural slice returned. Enjoy it while it last! :-)

Well Dale, seems you were on to something switched shafts and all was cured. Went back to fitter did a retake and he switched shafts to a new one and now it's a fairway seeker. Thanks for the advice.
