After years of playing only proV1, And then switching to AVX, I decided to try the new Velocity. After 36 holes I can report scoring 76 at Red Tail in Devons, Massachusetts (one of the top 50 public courses in the USA) and the 75 at HillView in Reading, Massachusetts.

Not a bad weekend! I guess I will be playing Velocity for a while. It does seem to have a somewhat slower spin rate and it definitely is giving me a lot more distance.

That's why Titleist makes multiple ball versions, a ball for everyone. Enjoy!

That's great that your willing to experiment. Many people are too one tracked and miss out on something that will help them.

On casual rounds i always use velocity. More serious games/ tournaments i switch to pro v1/ AVX depending on the course and weather.

Great ball for casual rounds indeed!

Very nice scores....that is a great example of why people should be experiment to see if there is a better performing ball for them. Now maybe I should take my own advice with the new AVX or Tour Soft. Lol

Based on the advice of the professionals at Titleist, I play the same ball, whether it be a casual round or tournament round. Although I have been giving the AVX a try and it is definitely a good ball and know my distances for each club in my bag. My ball of choice is still the Prov1. I have hit the Velocity, and while there is a ball for everyone, it is to hard for me. I prefer the premium balls. For me AVX is the longest. If I go to a course where it a bit longer than I normally play in a tournament, I may consider bringing out the AVX. I keep a dozen on hand just for that. As everyone has stated, thank goodness Titleist makes a ball for everyone. Kudos.

Nice rounds, and a great report!

I would like to try the Velocity, also, some near future day. For now, I have my hands full with two Titleist favorites.

I've played Pro V1 for a long time now but as time goes on I'm losing considerable distance from when I was younger so I'm going to experiment with different balls in the Titleist line.
