I played my first complete round of golf in two years. I have arthritic hips so even in a cart I could play only play maybe up to twelve holes before the pain would become unbearable. On November 15 2016 I had total hip replacement on my right hip. Mid February I started chipping and putting. March 29 the day before my 57th birthday my brother flew in from Kansas City to play my first round after my THR . It was wonderful experience being back on the links . When I was on the first tee I hummed the theme song of "Welcome Back Kotter ". I want to thank Shoreline Golf Links in Mountain View California and Titleist Golf equipment . That's me in the blue top

Kevin, I hope your round went well! I am also recovering from a right hip replacement. Mine in December. I also had a knee replacement 2 years ago, shoulder surgery last February and spinal fusion a couple years ago. I have attempted to play golf only a handful of times in the last 7 years! I am retired as of December 31! My new job is getting healthy and getting back on the golf course! I've hit balls a few times this spring so I'm on my way!

That's awesome news. I'm glad you're back on the course and I hope pain free (or at least very minimal pain!)

Hope this is a start to more complete rounds. I am having issues with my plantar fasciitis where I cannot play a complete round if it's cart path only. Even with the 90 degree rule in effect 18 holes is somewhat painful. The good news is that I am getting better and old father time has a way of helping us heal our issues. Good luck and keep 'em in the short grass.
  8. Glad you're back on the course! Last year I had a torn labrum in my hip and couldn't play for 6 weeks...I can only imagine what you went through!
