  1. One of my friends started this topic on another website and I thought it would be great to see what the community has here!

I figure the membership here has played some killer golf courses. Anyone keep their scorecards or grabs blank one as a momento? Please post a picture.

Also, other than brief local rules, what else do you like in a card? Do you like it clean and simple? Or fancy pictures and lots of color? For my bag carrying compadres, do you like those that have a couple slits to slide in a pencil?

I can't say that I have any scorecards that are very special in any way, but there is one feature that I love and have only seen once from all the courses I've played.   Having a diagram of each green divided into segments which are numbered.  The first tee box would then designate a number for pin location. the number does not correspond to the same location on each green .  I'm not sure if this is common in some places, but its very useful and never used In my area.

Though their normal one is classic, the card that Augusta uses during player practice rounds is a special one (and was a gift I'll always treasure).

Do you have a picture? I know what the member scorecard looks like (white with green print but no pics)...not seen the scorecard you are referring to.  Thanks!

  6. Here's a 1969 Augusta National Score Card a Friend of mine gave me. Really a classic!

    Hey Chris,

Great question. Does my head count as a scorecard? Kidding.

I love scorecards that have very little information on them. A scorecard with simply the hole, length and par tells me a lot about the club. I can appreciate scorecards with diagrams, especially public courses where many of the golfers are playing there for the first time.

I also like tournament scorecards, especially when there is a low score on them!

Braved the weather to bring these back a couple of weeks ago.  The four big courses have a very simple look, and The Preserve card includes an overhead view of all 13 holes.
