Last Fall I purchased my second Titleist cart bag. The first one gave me several years of service but it was time. I was looking forward to having a dedicated putter well as I use an oversized grip on my Scotty Cameron Red-X putter.

The problem I'm having with my new bag is that there are two jagged edges that snag my putter just about every time I try to remove it. It's a real nuisance and merits some kind of retrofit. I was thinking some kind of semi-solid tube that could fit inside the existing opening.

<<<I was hoping to add a couple of photos, but that doesn't seem to be working. Maybe I can email them to the moderator so they can be posted.>>>

    Thanks.

Mike and I were on the same page :)

Talked to cart engineering and the top part of your bag is defective.  You can contact Cathy at bags as she has seen your pictures and can direct you further..  1-800-225-8500.

On the second part of your suggestion, the new bags had to reduce the bottom because of the reduction of space in new golf carts.  In turn, this reduced the amount of space available for a putter.   This smaller bottom also prevented us from putting in a full length putter tube because we no longer have the circumference of the older bottoms. A few years ago we did do a full/separate putter tube, but it had to be set higher on the bag so the bottom would fit into a golf cart.  Because the bottom of the putter tube was set higher, the putter head also set higher and would occasionally come in contact with other club heads and if you didn't have your putter cover on, it could potentially scratch a head.   Hope that makes sense!
