I have been playing my 58.12 as my general purpose wedge, using 54.14 as a specialty wedge, and using 48.06 from around 30y out to full swing.
Since many shots could be done with either 58 or 54 I decided to switch up and make the 54 my general purpose wedge and the 58 a specialty wedge. So I use the 54 for most shots out to about 50y, and the 58 only where the 54 won't do.
Day 1, didn't work out very well, I kept putting the ball where the 54 wouldn't work as well as the 58.
Day 2, worked out much better, 7 of 11 up and downs, never touched the 58.
Day 3(today), 5 of 9, missed twice using the 58(of course using the 58 meant it was a more difficult shot), and all 4 misses were actually due to poor putts(not actually poor they just needed a little more umph)
So far this year I have (blue) 76, 75(yesterday) and (yellow) 92(esc 91), 89, and 80(today)
I think my hcp will be going up to start the year......as usual
