  1. D3 driver or R11s? I am torn as to which one to get, I am getting all of my other clubs from Titleist, I'm just not sure about the driver. Any ideas?

Don't limit yourself to a D3. Try the D2 also. I had my mind set on a D3 also thinking it was more of a players driver, but my numbers on the launch monitor proved better with the D2. I did not like the feel of the old R11, never hit the S yet. Good luck and try them both out on a monitor first.

  3. I'm going to have to say...a Titleist driver. Either the D2 or D3. Just get properly fit for it.

  4. I love Titleist clubs, just bought the 712 AP1. I tested out the D2, I liked the driver but the R11s outperformed the D2 for me. I was really set on buying the Titleist but couldn't quite see paying $400 for a driver that's almost 2 years old & knowing the new driver will be out late this year. I was disappointed seeing the R11s outperform the D2 but not sure if I will wait for the new Titleist line to come out before I make my decision.

Had the R11 and dumped it for the D2. Miles ahead. Like Jeff said I went in thinking D3 but came out with D2. Get fitted for the right shaft and you won't look back.

    Hit em well!!

I tried three 10.5 degree R11 drivers (one stiff, one regular and one M flex) alongside my trusty 2007 Burner HT draw. The stiff hit dead straight even with a neutral face but distance lacked. The 2007 Burner HT draw hit slightly farther than the R11s (even when they were set to "draw") - that's $400 I don't plan on spending in the near future. I find the fairway with my current driver pretty regularly and get an occasional eagle putt on a short par 4. I did try out some Titleist 909D drivers a couple years ago and do admit that even a stiff shaft driver felt pretty good. I've also liked a couple of the Titleist drivers I've had (975D and 983K); my only issue with neutral faced drivers is my strong drive is a power fade (I would hit a rather high trajectory if dead straight). With the HT draw I hit it dead straight or with a small draw and hit it around 230-240 (and have hit a few over 250 yards).
