Hi! I was thinking of getting a California Scotty Cameron in the next couple weeks because I heard that they are the best putters on the market but they are a very big investment. I was wondering if the scotties are worth the money. I know that countless tour pros use them but they get them for free. I was just curious if they have helped people's games dramatically or if they are like most other putters. Thanks for your insight.

YES!!! I have an older Newport Mid-Slant and i love it! by far the best putter i have ever owned. My dad has the new Newport Mid-slant and he loves his too. I don't know one person that doesn't like their Scotty. Definately a worthwhile investment. Be careful if you are getting it online though there are a lot of fakes out there

And by older i mean about 10 years old... the same one tiger used to use the pro platinum... still a lot nicer than any new putter other than the new scotties

Yes, in my opinion it's worth the big price tag. I have a 33 inch California and absolutely love it. Much more balanced than the other putters I have used which makes it easier to make a good stroke. Pull the trigger on it.

They are definately worth the money. The feel of a Cameron putter is like no other putter out there. The built quality is also second to none. If you make the investment and take care of your new putter, it will last many years if not decades.

    Best of Luck!

I love my Newport 2. It improved my game for sure. It comes off the face so pure that it gives you confidence every time you stand over the ball. What other club are you going to use more than the putter? Answer... NONE!

Scotty Cameron putters are the best in world in my opinion.  Bettinardi makes a run at them, but Scotty is still tops!  Of course, Bettinardi used to work for Scotty before he broke off.

I game a California Monterrey 34" heavy.  I was fitted for it and without a doubt is the best Scotty I own - it goes along with my Studio, Teryllium, and laguna models.

The one thing that I would recommend is that since it sounds like you are concerned with the price tag, go get fitted for the putter.  Yes, you should get fitted for the putter.  The right length, lie, loft, and weight make a HUGE difference.  Not to leave out the proper offset and shaft location...Think about it - the putter is the club in your bag that you will use the most during a round of golf.

Scotty Cameron putters are woth every dollar you pay. I have been using a Futura Long Putter (48") since 2004, and wouldn't trade it for anything. I have been searching Ebay for another just so I can have a "backup" in case anything happens to the one in my bag. Be sure you try all of the models you can find. Some of the older models might be the perfect fit you need. Frank C

I would say make the investment. try a few out first find the one thats right for you. They are a putter you can youse for years and years to come. Yea they have a price tag but they are some of the best balance, feel and acurte putters on the market. If your serious about the comitment i would do it. I have two Scottys i currently use. one in the living room for practice and one in the bag Cheers Fairways and greens Simba

YES!!! They definitely are. I am 14 and bought one with money I earned (my dad didnt pay a dime for it) when I was 12. I probably looked like a rich fool but if someone asks I just say i bought it. Anyway, yes, definitely get one. I have a Newport 2 34" 4 loft 71 lie. I LOVE IT!

It is definitely worth it, they are much better than other expensive putters as well. I have a California Monterey and its very nice, im just not very good with that head shape so I'm getting a squareback. I would only use scotty now no doubt, just be sure that you get the right head shape and model putter.

    Good luck

  15. Any putter will roll the ball but I have found over 35 years golfing that Cameron's sound, feel and look amazing! I own countless putters and every Cameron is unique and special to me...worth the price without question. Now here is a curve ball, without a proper fitting by an experienced professional you are wasting your money...purchase a Cameron to your specs! Good luck!
