After almost 20 years of trying to get a ticket to the masters I finally was able to get a practice round on Monday pass. I am taking my 75 year old father and neither of us have ever been. I am looking for a Thursday pass if anyone has one that is willing to accept a fair price. Please reach out to me at gabe.beronja@pga.com

    thank you

Good for you. Years ago, I had the annual Mon/Tues access, it's certainly a special place.

Congrats on winning the lottery. I’ve been twice and it is really an amazing experience! Take an extra suitcase and be nice to your friends when they ask for a shirt or a hat….the asking for merch is a just as much a tradition like the event itself….lol.

Three and one half hours from the house. A at least two speeding tickets over the years. Small town speed traps.
A special place and Mecca for golfers. Use to go every year until 1994. Last year you could go and purchase tickets at the gate. Remember paying $10.50 to get in. We were there on Monday and there had to be at least 65,000 and told my buddy thought the good old days were over. Bought the poster from that year and had it framed. Blessed to have gone every day of the week. Had friends, but it just got so crowded and hard to watch on certain days. Have been less than a half dozen times since then. The lottery has not been kind. Tried every combination of days and number of tickets and I continue to watch it on TV. Hakuna matata. It is an experience of a lifetime and everyone should do it at least once. So many memories, so many pros over the years. No course is so well manicured on the third rock from the sun. And those pimento cheese sandwiches? Have to have at least two and a couple of souvenir cups. Gabe, enjoy the practice round, which are the fun days. As stated have been every day of the week, but Monday and Tuesday were always our favorites.

I had Monday tickets last year. That was after initially getting them for 2021 before they rescinded most of the tickets for COVID. The extra year wait was painful after the original excitement of getting ready for 2021. It really is as great as advertised, though.

Buy chairs and bring sunscreen. If you get out of the gift shops in less than $500, you didn't buy enough, go back and buy more. Since you're going on Monday, bring your camera and take a ton of pictures you'll thank yourself later. (I think I took about 200.)

I was lucky in that one of my vendors at a company I worked for previously invited me to go on Thursday as well, so getting to see a tournament round was a highlight. We camped out on Amen Corner and watched all the groups come through. Two great days that I will never forget.

Still in my bucket list and will keep trying the lottery each year. One day I will be lucky and get selected.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told a few years by a PGA Professional, that you guys can get into the Masters anytime you want. Maybe the PGA can help you get tickets, being that you are a member.

That PGA card gets member in, not tickets in advance. Their PGA card is their ticket.
  15. Fantastic! It's always been my dream one day to go over with my dad and brother. Maybe it will happen soon!

Enjoy!! A truly remarkable place!! I, too, took my father when I went for the first time in 1988 and it remains one of my fondest memories. Dad’s been gone over 25 years and I think of that day every time I walk through the gates at ANGC. Have a great time.
  17. Congratulations! Definitely the bucket list trip. . That week falls on my daughter‘s birthday. Hoping that she really takes a liking to the sport jersey and I could take her there one day for her birthday.
  18. ANGC is one place that always exceeded my expectations. I think I’ve been five times, and I was excited to be there every time. I have a turf degree, so the course biggest attraction. I really can’t remember many shots, but I can remember everything about the course. I used to enjoy getting there early, and watching the mowing and course set up. One year, I got a tour of the new maintenance facility. Just a great experience being there, and a lot of great memories.

I won the lottery in 2007 for Tuesday's practice round. I was a great experience. I keep trying the lottery year but have not been as lucky.

I hope to get back there at least one more time.

I hope you can pull it off. It's my favorite tourney especially because I worked there as a kid. The Masters over delivers in every way. Some recommendations:

1: Walk the whole course. The holes look different in person.

2: Eat frequently and try as much as possible on the menu. Even the pimento cheese :(. Keep the plastic cups. Try the peach ice cream early, it sells out.

3: Hit the merch right away, then the UPS booth right next store will ship all your swag home so you don't have to carry it.

4: enjoy being a patron. It's the best walk in golf!
