I want to recognize Titleist's own Karen Gray who put her game out there yesterday to qualify for the first US Ladies Sr Open. the course conditions were very difficult and scoring was tough. I know Karen wasn't happy with her play but she deserves all of us to congratulate and support her for her efforts. There were competitors who withdrew during play. Karen did not, she fought through and posted a score.

For those that have not tried to compete at this level, I can tell you it is very difficult. It shows a lot about the person who elects to put their game out there under the pressure of major championship qualifying.

Karen deserves the support and acknowledgment of her efforts by the Team Titlist community. Please add your words of support for Karen and all of the others that entered this competition.

Super! I'm glad the USGA has added this category to their championships. Good luck Karen.

Congratulations to Karen - and anyone here that attempts to compete. True failure is never attempting to succeed. So finishing - job well done. To paraphrase Churchill, Never give in, never, never, never.

Congrats to Karen. My hat is off to her and anyone who competes at any level. It's one thing to hit it on the range, but quite another to do it under pressure on the course. I'm a rank amateur and have tried to compete at the club level and have never been any good at it and have kind of given up on it. Way to go Karen and all competitive golfers.

Good luck Karen! You are fortunate to be playing on such a great golf course. For those of you who have never seen Chicago Golf Club it is well worth a look. The routing and the holes are spectacular on such a average piece of land. Check out the Biarritz and the Redan holes.

Congrats to Karen. This event category was way overdue and should have started 20 years ago as also should an expanded Ladies Senior Tour.
