Was playing a solo round at Spalding Golf Course, Geraldton. Caught up to a couple retirees on hole 14 they had teed off and told me to play down with them, then play through. Pin was 158m down wind. I grabbed out my 8i and cracked it perfectly. Straight at the hole. While it was in the air one of the guys said “that’s right at it!’ It landed rolled and vanished. Looked mint but couldn’t tell for sure. One of the lads said “I think that’s right behind the flag” the other guy said “I think it’s rolled off the back” (the pin was right at the back of the green). Hurriedly walked down with my push trolley. As I got closer I started to jog, then left my trolley and started sprinting. And sure enough got to the hole and there she was. Was a surreal experience and so glad I had some others there to share the moment with me!
