We teed off at 7:00 AM on January 1, 2026, the very first group of the year at Green Acres Golf Club in Melbourne. On the 9th hole—105 meters, uphill, into the wind—I pulled out my 9-iron and swung. I couldn’t see the hole, but I heard the ball ,a Titleist TruFeel Yellow, smack the flag… then cheers erupted from the practice green. The ball had gone straight in! Could this be the first hole-in-one in the world for 2026? Who knows—but it’s my first ever, and what an incredible way to start the year!
