I recently had a fantastic time playing golf in Yonkers, New York, on a beautiful April day. It was a casual round with a few friends, and the course was absolutely stunning.
After a par on the 11th hole, I stepped onto the 12th tee box. I was feeling pretty good about the day. The hole ahead was a short par 3, about 135 yards uphill, with a slight wind. The flagstick was mid-green, slightly to the left. I grabbed my trusty AP1 8 iron and teed it up. The shot was clean, and I felt a good connection with the ball. It was heading straight for the middle of the green. But guess what? The ball landed behind the flagstick on a gentle slope and rolled all the way to the bottom of the cup! It was my first hole-in-one after playing for over 15 years!
