Hello All,
Thankyou for allowing me the opportunity to express my joy and the total surprise I felt when my compatriot yelled "Warwick, your ball is in the hole".
October 3rd, 2025 was unusually hot and sunny. At the course I play 2, 3 or 4 times a week from late April to mid-October, my round started as usual....somewhat mediocre. At 89 years of age I am very fortunate to be out and about walking a golf course.
We reached #4, a short par 3. It is slightly uphill, pond on left and sand trap on right. My friend Jeanne drove her ball to front of green, whilst Christine put her ball to side of trap. I took a 7 iron, swung and drove and it appeared to me the ball just cleared the trap.
Reaching the green, I could not see my ball and walked to back of green, assuming it had rolled off the back. Christine then walked to the hole and you know the result.
The picture shows me just outside the clubhouse, by a post portraying the names of players who scored 'a hole in one',
Regards Warwick
