My wife and I were out with friends honoring Memorial Day Weekend by playing at the golf club at Fort Sill Army Base in Lawton, Oklahoma. It was a busy course with a team waiting behind us to finish up on the first tee box. When I was up, I hit the ball, it felt pretty good. I watched it fly through the air and felt like I had a good chance of hitting the green. I suddenly started hearing the team behind us saying "I think that went in the hole". They must've had better eyes than us, we didn't see it drop into the hole, but immediately got in the cart to go check. The closer we got, we could tell it was not on the green, which was a good sign this morning! We made it to the green, made it to the hole, looked in and there is was!!! A par 4 308 yard albatross. Great start to a great day!
