I mishit my 3 wood and did not follow the ball the whole way. I figured it would be 10-20 yards short of the green ( 195 yds) . Looked trying to find my ball but couldn't find it. I threw down a second ball where I thought my ball should have ended up. Chipped second ball to within 4 ft of hole. When I went to line up my putt I saw my first ball in the hole. Better lucky than good I guess.
