On June 23rd , 2022 our group went to play Willow Ridge Golf and Country Club in Blenheim. My round started off not too badly , but it started getting away from me a bit around the 8th hole. I continued to grind then on the 16th hole the unexpected happened . It is a short par 3 that was listed as 116 but was playing about 105 so I hit my gap wedge , a nice smooth swing that was targeted on the stick right off the bat. With the pin on the front edge tucked right behind the bunker the shot had to just manage to fly the bunker and roll in . Exactly what happened , i hit it and knew right away it was golden. The good thing was the group was only 20 guys not the usual 32, so the bar bill was less than what it could have been. That was my 2nd hole in one, but just as exhilarating as the first
