Playing the 1st day of the club championships, front nine was a mixed bag and of birdies, pars and worse :) I was feeling good though and thought i was going to have a good back nine. what a way to start though with a hole in one on the tenth, wind was helping a little, the yardage was 167 yards so selected to hit my 8 iron as the course was dry and thought if I come up short then a bounce would get my on to the green. I stood over the ball and hit it right out the screws the ball took a lovely ball flight just left of the flag, I could not see the cup from the tee as it was just behind a small brow on the green, as I walked towards the green i could not see my ball to the left of the flag so had a look n the bunker in case it kicked left but it was not there, so thought best check the hols and there it was such a wonderful sight and some buzz, this is my second hole in one but this was the fist in competition.
