It was the 29/05/22. A Stableford competition, having finished the front 9 equal to my best ever scoring round, nearly capturing my first ever 'ace' I was eager to get onto the back and go again. I then reached the 12th hole, jokingly saying to family and friends ' I'm going to punch this 6iron with a baby draw, soft bounce and then onto the pin'. Little did I know I'd do exactly that, surrounded by friends and family, the ball seemed to take an eternity to reach the hole. 20mph wind against me, 200 yards, I watched and waited in anticipation for the ball to finish. And then to see my friends and my brother of all people (it was his birthday on the day) celebrate and then record the ball from the back of the green. So I knew it had dropped and from there it was pure elation. My first ever hole-in-one and for it to be at a small club which doesn't have many amenities it was special. And most of all on my brothers birthday and for him to have been there made it even greater.
