2nd June 2022 Tee Time 10:27 1st Hole Longcliffe Golf Club 167 yards uphill to a yellow flag, blind surface. Soft wind off the left, sun out and warm. Team of 4, 2 to count, first player goes into the left tree, 2nd player in the right bunker, 3rd player short right, no pressure then lads with no one on the green!! I hit a smooth 5 iron straight as an arrow at the flag, we saw one bonce, my team said nice shot as did our opponents in the next four ball. We casually walk up to the green and as the surface comes clear, we can’t see anything and thoughts start going through your head, then myself and Colin player 1 left our trolleys, ran to the green and there it was in the bottom of the cup, the pitch mark was about 8 feet below the hole.
