It was a regular May afternoon in North Carolina. I wanted to play golf with my friends and my youngest son. The first hole was not one of my better performances. I did triple it after a great drive, yet I knew it was off to hole #2 with short term memory. I have the read of 117 yards with the pin placement on the front. This hole is narrow and has woods, water and sand! I purposely picked an old yellow, dirty Titleist ball because I didn't want to lose my good Titleist balls :) I teed it up on a short tee that belonged to the doctor I work for, made jokes as I practiced with my 6 iron--and then hit the ball! We all heard a noise that sounded like a "metal tree limb" and we looked for the ball...everywhere! My youngest son ran to the hole and saw that the ball was IN THE HOLE!! It never hit the ground, just went straight in the hole and the noise we heard was THE CUP! Two of my other friends were driving by just in time to see it all go down! To say we celebrated was an understatement! A bunch of my friends called me and came to Salem Glen Country Club to celebrate and congratulate me! I have felt like royalty since! Thanks Titleist!
