  1. Since winning Masters tickets in 2019, I have been looking forward to this week for a very long time. Covid forced Augusta to postpone the tournament several times. We were finally able to go on the trip but beforehand we planned to play a few courses. We played the cradle at Pinehurst on Sunday, the Pete dye course at barefoot resort on Monday, and decided at the last minute to play Arrowhead country club in Myrtle Beach on the way to Augusta on Tuesday. The round at arrowhead started off rough and I lost a few balls right away. I actually found a Titleist AVX which I used for a couple holes before coming to the sixth hole on the waterway nine. We were 164 out with a nice tail wind. I had the box, but let the other three in the group hit before me because I had to change from a seven iron to an eight iron due to the tailwind. When it was my turn I remember feeling like I could get this ball close. I hit a smooth eight iron and it sailed towards the hole, riding the wind toward the target. It was a back pin location and I saw it hit the green, take one bounce, and then disappear. The green was slightly elevated so it was difficult to see if the ball went in the hole or off the back of the green. I was pessimistic at first as I have been here many times in the past. The other three in the group said that they thought it went in, but I said out loud it is probably off the back of the green. My playing partner insisted that it went in and that I walk the whole while he videoed. It didn’t really hit me that the ball actually went in until the other two people in our group got up there and I heard the “words there’s nothing behind the green!” When I heard this I quickened my pace towards the whole and then there it was; the grass stained Titleist AVX was in the hole!
