On Memorial Day, 2021, I had a 165 yard uphill par 3 over the water hole. In my hand was my trusty 6 iron. The pin was in the back with a steep slope from back to front and a clear left to right pitch. I stuck the ball and it landed pin high and skipped to the back left, shockingly right where I wanted to hit it. The ball appeared to stop, so I looked away well satisfied since no one else had hit the green with the wind. One of the other players said, “hey, that ball is still moving”. It seemed like we all watched for another 15 seconds as the ball trickled down the hill, then disappeared. We all saw it and we all jumped up and celebrated at the same time. Fun stuff!
It was a Titleist Tour Soft ball I had found with a plastics company logo on it and I had already made 3 pars in a row since finding it.
Thanks Titleist! That’s my second hole-in-one in two years with your golf balls! Keep making great balls.
