July 1, 2020 was the day I finally found that elusive ace. The Links at North Fork in Ramsey Minnesota, hole 17. It was playing 178 yards with a terrible pin location. It was Wednesday and that meant men’s league. So my group starts walking up to the box and I stated how much I hated that pin location. The box was mine so I walked up teeing not far from the box marker. A guy in my group took a step back worrying I would hit the marker. Not worrying about the marker I put together a perfect 8 iron shot. Dropping the ball about 12 inches behind the cup, drawing my Titleist Pro-V 1x back for the ace. It felt like an eternity waiting for the others to take their shot so I could race down and see for my self. To this day that is my favorite hole.
