This was my 5th lifetime hole-in-one with my 1st at age 26, 2nd at age 45, 3rd at age 57, 4th at age 70, and this 5th one at age 74 may be my best. This was on the 4th Hole at Sara Bay CC in Sarasota, FL, a 1926 masterpiece of a golf course by Bobby Jones and Donald Ross. It was an 118 yd. 8 iron shot over water to an elevated, very sloped and angulated green with deep bunkers on both sides and into a 25 mph gusting wind.
That shot would have looked great on Johnny Miller's telestrator. It was a very high, slight draw (baby draw as Johnny would have called it) landing about 2 ft. right of the cup and spinning directly left into the hole. I will never forget that shot.
