Playing in my regular Saturday skins game at The Creek at Qualchan in sunny, Spokane, WA I carded my first Ace in 38 years of play. The par 3, 14th hole was playing 180 yards from the elevated, back tees that day; I hit a crisp 8 iron to the crown of the ridge that runs through the back of the green, my Pro V1 landed softly and slowly rode the downslope right into the cup. Initially, my playing partners and I weren't quite sure if it was in the hole because of the way the ball settled on the foam insert seated in the cup as part of the course's coronavirus precautionary measures; as we approached the green though, it became quite clear that I'd done it - what a thrill! Thanks, Titleist!
