John Lods was playing the Texas Rangers Golf Club with some buds, Danny Orendain, Rob Howe and Brett Stave, when he approached the sixth tee, and his golf life was forever changed. Hole #6 was playing about 115 to the pin, with the green slopping a bit left. John played a light 54-degree wedge and struck it well, tracking on the pin the whole way. It lands about a foot or two in front of the hole and trickles in. They saw it all the way. A group on a near by tee box saw it as well and celebrated with the crew! As did the folks behind them. Naturally, they ordered a round from the cart girl who had driven up on the event, though mostly unimpressed by what had happened. She was kind enough to card John for the round of beverages Rob had so graciously purchased. John's 28. ------ A big thank you to the Texas Rangers Golf Club for being such a great host.
