It's our club's July 4th tournament. I'm playing ok, not particularly great, when I get to the 16th hole. 156 yards from the tees we were playing, a little into the wind - the pin was on the back part of the green. I pull my 8 iron, set up, and loosen up since I'm not playing great. I flush it and it's on a rope, about 6 inches right of the pin. The green is slightly elevated, and I see the ball take the first bounce toward the pin. It looks awfully good, but I can't tell how good. We all approach the green, and don't see a ball in the vicinity of the flag. I figure I may have hit it a little too well and it's just over. I walk around the back of the green and see nothing... Another guy in our group runs up to the hole and raises his hands. Number four for me!
